Professional Career

Woods turned professional in August 1996 at the age of 20 and in April 1997 won his first major, the Masters, to became the youngest winner of the tournament at age 21. By 2000, Woods has already won six consecutive events on the PGA Tour. At age 24, he became the youngest golfer to achieve the Career Grand Slam and with his 2001 Masters win, Woods became the only player to win four consecutive major professional golf titles, also known as the “Tiger Slam”.

He later won the Junior World Championships six times, including four consecutive wins from 1988 to 1991.
