The death of her husband, who was the lead singer of the ska-punk band, Sublime, further threw Troy Dendekker into the limelight. Bradley Nowell died due to avoidable circumstances and Dendekker has sworn to make his legacy last. But we know her parents are Robin Newton and David Newton. She had her high school education at Notre Dame High School. She is best known as the wife of late musician Bradley Owell. 

Troy Dendekker’s Career

Aside from being the wife of Nowell, Dendekker is a substance-related therapist. After the death of her husband, Dendekker felt the need to make documentaries about the abuse of substances. She and Courtney Love, a singer, collaborated together to make a TV series with a focus on drug-free Americans. 

Did Bradley Owell and Troy Dendekker Have Children Together?

We do not know how the ex-couple met each other, but we know they started dating in the early 1990s. It is reported that the two met during one of the tours of the Sublime band. After getting to know each other, the two got into a romantic relationship. On June 25, 1995, the couple had their first child, Jakob James Nowell. The following year after the birth of their son, the couple walked down the aisle in a private wedding ceremony in Las Vegas.

Tragedy Struck One Week After the Wedding

Unfortunately for the couple, just a week after the wedding, Bradley Nowell died of heroin overdose on May 25, 1996. According to reports, he died in a San Francisco hotel on a tour, after an overdose of heroin. Before then, he had suffered from an addiction to heroin. The band would later compile an album in his name to honour him. Before his death, Bradley and his bands had made hundreds of songs. In fact, he is still considered as one of the pioneers of the 1990s alternative era. 

Bradley Owell’s Son Followed After His Father’s Footsteps

Just like his father, Jakob Nowell is also pursuing a career in music. He formed the band LAW and he is the lead singer and guitarist. The band has released several albums. Hopefully, he gets the recognition that he deserves. 

Troy Dendekker Remarried

After taking in the death of her husband, Dendekker summoned the courage to leave everything behind in the past and begin another relationship. She eventually found love in Kiki Holmes. After starting off their relationship, the two married in 2002. She has children with Kiki, two daughters; Mary Jane and Erica Angel. She also has another son apart from Jakob Nowell – Rudi Holmes. Altogether, Dendekker has four children.

Perhaps this explains why there is scarce information about Troy Dendekker on the internet. She has no account on any of the social media platforms. It is safe to say she would rather have her life in private.
