Dr. Amit is a professor at the University of Utah’s School of Medicine’s Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. In no time, an emergency open-heart surgery was carried out on Blake Lively’s father.
After the surgery, Dr. Amit prescribed retrograde gene therapy. It is an experimental procedure that uses gene therapy to stimulate stem cells to repair the heart.
